Take part in our online survey
Have you ever used the NHS? Are you aged 16 or over? If so, we want to hear your views on health data sharing.
- What types of data should (or shouldn't) be shared?
- Who should be able to access health data?
- What should health data be used for (if anything)?
- Do people feel differently about sharing their physical and mental health data?
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and involves filling in some information about you, your use of the NHS, and your attitudes to data sharing.
SHARE is a NHS Research Scotland initiative created to establish a register of people interested in participating in health research and who agree to allow SHARE to use the coded data in their various NHS computer records to check whether they might be suitable for health research studies. This access can be incredibly useful when it comes to developing new treatments and cures for a wide variety of health conditions.
If you’re expecting a baby or have given birth in the last few days or weeks, we’d love it if you’d consider enrolling in our research study. We are looking for babies who were born early and also a group of full-term babies, born close to their due date. Here you can find out more about who is eligible to sign-up for the study.
